Commuter trains can be extremely packed during busy hours, and passengers are unlikely to be standing in front of a train handle. This is why an elliptical ring that could be easily grabbed from any direction was designed. An appropriate corner radius was applied on the edges of the casing, the piece hiding the metal fitting which secures the belt, for easier grip. A geometric pattern was embossed on the belt to create contrast. All of the parts were unified in gray color, making it difficult to spot any dirt.
